NounSingular seller Plural sellers seller (plural sellers)
From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. A sale is the pinnacle activity involved in the selling products or services in return for money or other compensation. It is an act of completion of a commercial activity. The seller - the provider of the goods or services - completes a sale in response to an acquisition or to an appropriation or to a request. There follows the passing of title (property or ownership) in the item, and the application and due settlement of a price, the obligation for which arises due to the seller's requirement to pass ownership. Ideally, a seller agrees upon a price at which he willingly parts with ownership of or any claim upon the item. The purchaser, though a party to the sale, does not execute the sale, only the seller does that. To be precise the sale completes prior to the payment and gives rise to the obligation of payment. If the seller completes the first two above stages (consent and passing ownership) of the sale prior to settlement of the price, the sale remains valid and gives rise to an obligation to pay. GNU Free Documentation License How long does it take for a seller to receive money on paypal? Q. I sent him the money through paypal a couple of hours ago and have not received an email back from him yet. I do, however, have a conformation email from paypal. So how long does it generally take for a person to receive those funds through paypal? I mean, how long will it be until the seller knows that I have actually paid him? Asked by Megan - Sun Nov 2 17:44:36 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. The money should go into the account instantly, -unless- you paid with an e-check in which case it can take a few days. Doesn't mean the person has been online to check his email, though; some people only check their email once a week. Answered by William S - Sun Nov 2 17:50:40 2008 What is the difference between a manufacturer warranty and a seller warranty? Q. I am looking to buy a Canon digital camera bundle on eBay, but there's only a seller warranty and not a manufacturer warranty from Canon. I asked the seller what the difference between these two is, but I have yet to receive a reply. Thank you. Asked by Ilya B - Sat Feb 20 12:53:11 2010 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Huge. Stick with the manufacturers warranty. When a seller offers a sellers warranty, this means that the camera is either a gray market camera (stay away) or they are trying to upsell you with an extended sellers warranty (basically insurance, but does not guarantee that your camera will be repaired by Canon) Answered by fhotoace - Sat Feb 20 13:01:53 2010 What to do if seller wants to cancel a signed contract?
Q. I signed a contract to buy my first house, seller also signed. One week later, list agent called me that seller wanted to withdraw from this contract, no written so far. (FYI, I don't have agent.) I live in Washington State, the contract is the standard one used in this state, the only coningencies with the contract are: inspection and financial. We really like the house, we are looking around over a year already. Your opinions are very much appreciated. Asked by Van - Tue May 15 19:07:16 2007 - - 5 Answers - 1 Comments A. It's time you got a lawyer, as you'll find it difficult to enforce your rights on your own. To understand your position, you need to understand the difference between "legal title" and "equitable title". Legal title is when your name is on a valid deed, and if your state requires it, that deed is recorded. Equitable title is when you have the right to receive legal title. You have equitable title now, if your contract is valid, and you keep the promises (pay the price by the date specified.) In other words, you CAN force the seller to go through with the contract as written. The relief you'd be asking for in court is "specific performance". I don't know if your state observes that, but most do tend to force sellers to live… [cont.] Answered by open4one - Tue May 15 19:16:19 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "seller" Accused baby seller's wife: It was a joke - The Spokesman Review (blog)
